So this Just happened!

We completed the store page, marketing and uploaded the App to Steam! Everything has been submit and pending approval!

This Promo video is totally awesome.

This is huge. Marketing on Mobile was just the tip. Honestly I thought that was a pain in the ass. Steam has so many more things that it requires. So I got to work on it and plowed on through. The video you see above was quite possibly the biggest challenge. 12 hour days, sleepless nights recapturing video, fixing settings. I also found bugs and settings issues in the game and fixed them. So it was all time well spent.

Granted I’m not complaining here at all. I value hard work. Making the game is the big part, but if no one knows it exists, it fails. That’s the downfall of a lot of Indie Devs. They put all this time into their games and fail to market it. They just hope because it’s new, it’ll instantly get a million downloads. My first week on IOS and google I got maybe 300 downloads. My marketing was mostly to blame. So I talked to the community, ran some A/B tests, reworked the icon and other store page items and resubmit. The game became more popular, almost instantly.

Circling back from the mini tangent there, sorry it’s been a very long two weeks. So I honestly can’t wait, hope the game gets approved and makes the release date. Sure there are some minor bugs left, but the game is pretty rocking stable at this point.

Now that the shadows issue has been fixed (holy cow was that driving me crazy) the game looks and feels so much better. The cartoon rendering is also fixed and everything just looks so incredible.

I’ll update with a link to my Steam Store page if all goes well.
