A slight case of Rebranding

You may not have even noticed as the front facing transition with Chaos Rift Games was minimally impacted. But this weekend was a major rebranding event that is 80% done, the rest will be completed through organic evolution. Basically as I work on things and see something that needs a change.

What Exactly am I Talking About?

The “Chaos Rift Games™” namesake and everything involved, including “The Chaos Rift™” has been renamed, or in the process of renaming along all social media outlets. Twitter, Google Plus, Facebook and YouTube all share “Chaos Rift Games”. This was done because as I’m growing out my presence things need to be clean and consistent. Everything was starting to become cluttered and messy. It was more a decluttering event than it was rebranding.

YouTube is a major part of Chaos Rift Games and has seen the birth of a Brand New Channel. (Please like, share and Subscribe) I didn’t move videos, but created playlists and added links from the original YouTube Channel that I spun off from. The original channel was renamed from “The Chaos Rift” to “Deverydoo” and a new website (still under construction) has been established. It still has all the default Theme samples and is not currently very valuable. This website is “marked complete” in my mind (even though it’s far from complete) so I can get on with designing a coin reward system for some games to tie everything together.

The brunt of the rebranding Effort, the one that felt the most change ironically was Deverydoo. Chaos Rift took over an old Twitter account and all it’s posts purged. Deverydoo rebranded the original Twitter. As I rebuild they will further diverge and less cross posting will happen over time. Deverydoo’s website and YouTube Channel will go on it’s own path as Chaos Rift Games is now free to grow on it’s own path.

It was a bit more of an undertaking than I had planned as I’ve done spinoffs before and it’s usually pretty quick. I ended up with a broken WordPress theme that wasted a few hours and had to scour for a suitable replacement. Things like that happen on occasion.

Thank you for your patience during this time. Construction is nearly complete and I’m excited to be bringing this amazing next step and phase to “Chaos Rift Games”.
